Dopamine Detox

Cheap dopamine is all over nowadays.

  • Short form content

  • Fast-Food or sugar

  • Adult Films

You do things that you don't want to do.

You're wasting your:

  • Time

  • Money

  • Attention

On things that have no return in your life.

You have no control over how you live, and you don’t put in the work to create the life that you want.

Today, I’ll show you how to take your life back.

Ask yourself:

"Am I in control of what I do, or does what I do has me under control?"

Be honest. Don't try to lie to yourself.

If you spend time on your phone and then you say:

"Oh sh*t, I've spent time on TikTok all day again. I could have been more productive."

It means that you don't have any kind of control.

Or if you say that you want to relax for 20 minutes by watching YouTube and you end up spending hours watching it's the same answer.

You don't have any kind of control over your attention and life.

But that's ok.

Look around you. Most people have this problem.

Think about it.

We're trying to make pooping entertaining or less boring.

And we do that by scrolling endlessly through the feed.

I mean, it's pooping. How do you want it to be? Like a stand-up show? I'll tell you it shouldn't be that way.

It should be boring.

Yeah, probably it sounds pretty funny, but it's sad when you think about it.

You need to have boredom in your life as well. Moments when you're just doing nothing.

Einstein probably got his best ideas when he was pooping and not scrolling on TikTok, watching Andrew Tate's motivational videos.

We'll never know this though.

Another big problem is porn.

Brother, people are addicted to watching how a guy is banging a woman that they will never see, talk or touch her. 99.99% of the time.

They feel like they are with that woman, while they're not.

Why?

Because it's easier to watch porn than it's to get yourself a real woman and have real-life sexual experiences.

Life is supposed to be hard, and frankly, it is hard. But social media, porn, and everything that is releasing cheap dopamine are acting like a lens for our lives.

A lens that makes you feel that life is easy, gray and it makes almost everything we do boring.

From eating to pooping.

It also influences your life trajectory in the wrong direction, and this is not to your advantage.

Want to be happier?

Remove those lenses.

Want to be more productive?

Remove those lenses.

Want to enjoy life more?

Remove those lenses.

And for this, all you need is a 7-days challenge.

A challenge that'll get rid of all that cheap dopamine.

A dopamine detox challenge.

It's wrong to say that it's a detox.

Because dopamine is not a toxin. It's something that we need to stay alive.

With this "detox" we're not resetting our dopamine levels, we're resetting our dopamine receptors.

This is what happens:

When our dopamine receptors receive too much dopamine, they downregulate to receive less.

As our receptors have been downregulated, other activities start to seem less interesting and exciting. Activities like:

  • Taking a walk

  • Reading a book

  • Spending time with our loved ones.

So, this is basically what happens with our brains.

Now, how do we do it?

It's not that complicated :))

We just have to establish 3 rules:

  1. No Media Consumption. No YouTube, no Netflix, no Podcasts. only books are allowed.

  2. No Fast-Food or sugar.

  3. No cuffing the carrot

I've done this challenge once.

I know how tough it is.

But it helped me a lot and I want to do it again.

When? This week. Starting tomorrow.

I would love to have some friends along the way. It would be funnier and easier.
